Dover town centre
BBP were commissioned to carry out a comprehensive assessment of current conditions and future prospects in Dover town centre and to prepare a corporate strategy for the future improvement of the area. The project helped to set concurrent work on the preparation of planning briefs for key development sites into a broader policy context and included a review of the town centre and local economy, the formulation of a draft strategy in consultation with the Council and local stakeholders, a public consultation programme involving a public exhibition, drop-in workshops for local people and statutory consultations for key land/property and the preparation of the town centre strategy, which included a programme of action for the District Council and local stakeholders.
