Faversham Employment-Development Strategy
BBP, together with SQW, reviewed the issues regarding the Faversham and Swale East area’s failure to attract significant employment generating investment. This necessitated research into influencing factors such as infrastructure, to inform the local plan process and the overarching Faversham Employment Development Strategy. A qualitative and quantitative approach analysed socio-economic factors, including property supply and demand to gain insight into the problems associated with out-commuting and retaining inward investment. In turn, this informed recommendations for improvement, including the suitability of employment allocated sites in the draft local plan.
