Woolston Riverside
BBP was appointed to undertake an Economic Appraisal of the Woolston Riverside scheme which involved the redevelopment of the former Vosper Thornycroft Shipyard, Woolston, Southampton. Key issues for consideration included the rationale for public sector involvement, the extent to which the project helped fulfil local/regional/national regeneration policies, a review of alternative options, viability assessments and quantification of potential outputs. An Interim Appraisal was submitted in March 2004 which allowed SEEDA to proceed with the site purchase, and the full Economic Appraisal was complete last year.
